Evil twin Lore is one of those things from the early seasons of the show that I assumed/wished they would have let stay in the past. It *might* have been worth it if the episode made a meal of how Data would act when pumped full of negative emotions and no ethics program, (How would Data’s existing desires transform under those circumstances? How would he rationalize his actions?) but he’s just generically evil. For some reason he does Lore’s bidding … until he doesn’t because he’s half fixed, just so it seems like he’s making a decision to be good at the end instead of what’s actually happening, which is nothing. It’s a good thing its sorta fun to see Beverly command the Enterprise, otherwise this two parter would be pretty worthless.
