[TNG] Disaster

[TNG] Season 5, Episode 5: Disaster

Rating: 4

Disaster shakes things up structurally as an opportunity to match up characters that don’t usually spend much time together, and it makes for an absorbing episode. The Worf + Keiko scenes are easily the highlight of the episode. Even in the less exciting/entertaining segments it’s still kind of fun to see those interactions.

“You may now give birth.”

Data and Riker’s plan to take Data’s head to engineering after his body gets fried is pretty fun.
Picard tells the pink power ranger that the turbo-lift may fall and that the kids need to go on without him due to his broken ankle, but they mutiny against him.
Keiko starts going into labor and Worf tells her to knock it off.
Picard leads the kids in singing “Frère Jacques” so I guess this is like a singing episode.
Troi sits in a chair.
lol
Through the power of song, the kids and Picard make it out.
Somehow, even though Worf didn’t sing a Russian folk song to her, Keiko successfully gives birth.
The kids thank Picard with a lame award.
