[DS9] Season 3, Episode 26: The Adversary
Rating: 4
Over the course of season three of DS9 there’s been a pretty slow and sporadic build towards a more serious confrontation with the Dominion, and this is one of the first episodes to really set some high stakes and ominous foreshadowing for the inevitable trouble. Notes:

They figure out a way to scan for residue of the person who was altering stuff. It turns out it’s the guy who convinced them to go on this mission.

They decide to do a blood test and I guess they just hope that the enemy changeling isn’t posing as Odo.

Dang Bashir, seems like a lot of blood for the test. Don’t they just need to see if a drop separates and remains blood?

The Changeling has programed the defiant to fire on a planet, which would start a war. Sisko sets the self-destruct to go off before they get there.

You would think a Changeling fight would be pretty cool. They could turn into whatever they want and all. But instead it’s mostly just this.
