Ehhhh I’m not a big fan of the Mirror Universe, but this works pretty well and ties into the original series in some fun ways. It gets a little more interesting in the next part, but this one scrapes into 3 territory ’cause of that First Contact intro and bringing us the Defiant.

In the mirror universe, Forrest is the captain of Enterprise.
And Hoshi is a floozy.
It wouldn’t be the mirror universe without some mutiny.
Scars!
Midriffs!
Paint!
They capture a Tholian.
In this episode there’s a lot of torture in their torture-tube.
The Tholians lured in a ship from another dimension. It’s the Defiant! Cool tie in with The Tholian Web.
They get a cloaking device working. I guess the lesson here is that war and stealing is a better way to technological advances than the prime universe methods.
They find the Defiant!
Almost all the main characters go to the Defiant to check it out. hmmm
Then the Tholians attack and blow up Enterprise!
