I kind of like that they return to the planet featured in TOS episode “Shore Leave,” since a planet like that would become significant to people who go there, but “Once Upon a Planet” doesn’t add much.

Then they remember that the planet is designed to take care of people who are injured, since last time Bones was injured and they took him underground to help him. So they give Spock a shot of something that knocks him out for a bit. I'm not sure why they think this would work, since the planet is clearly not acting how it's supposed to

The computer on the planet is also taking over Enterprise
