[VOY] Worst Case Scenario

[VOY] Season 3, Episode 25: Worst Case Scenario

Worst case scenarioRating: 2

The first half of the episode was entertaining, but I really didn’t like the direction it went in the second half.

Paris and Tuvok go into the holodeck to finish the story but Seska had set a booby trap. Apparently she wanted to kill Tuvok which would probably get her in a lot of trouble if she was still alive (and she probably would assume she would be), and she wanted to do it with an elaborate holo-novel trap

It kind of seems more like they had Seska and they wanted her to get to play the villain again.

I especially mislike this one because it shows one of the many missed opportunities in VOY – an actual Maquis rebellion would have been believeable and entertaining. It is just as Sevens developement in later episodes which had to take place on the holodeck. Why? Maybe because the producers thought that giving up that teenage-boys-dream-jumpsuits for an actual uniform in order to make a progression in Seven’s life might be too bold.
