All of a sudden these two are madly in love. Dax is going to stay with him on his dimension-shifting planet. In the space of maybe 10 minutes Dax has gone from being hit on unsuccessfully to leaving her whole life behind.

Kira finds out about Quark’s holo-program and she sabotages it. Was this whole sub-plot all for this “joke”?
