[TNG] Booby Trap

[TNG] Season 3, Episode 6: Booby Trap

Booby Trap

Rating: 2

I like the premise of Enterprise falling into an old trap left over from a war, and I like Picard throughout the episode. There are some silly parts involving Geordi’s love life, and a good part of the episode is taken up by working through a problem that is mostly techno-babble.

I always liked this episode, but the Geordi stuff does drag it down. The holodeck relationships are so weird, too. Between the three TNG era shows, I always got the feeling that the writers didn’t quite get that the holodeck is the 24th century equivalent of a blow up doll for some of the crew.
