If you are a big fan of Q and Vash you’ll want to watch this one but I found it pretty dull. The main plot was about an auction and mysterious power outages that I don’t care about. They use Q to lay out some differences between the Next Generation crew and the Deep Space Nine crew, but it’s all stuff that’s already been well established. Overall it just seems like Q doesn’t have much of a place in the Deep Space Nine setting.

This episode originally aired the same week as the TNG episode “Face of the Enemy” (TNG 6.14), the one where Troi dresses up as a Romulan.

There are some mildly funny parts.
Did you guys know that Sisko is different from Picard?? Thanks to this episode, now you do.
The crew kept wondering what was causing the power outages but I knew from the beginning that they were caused by a giant space manta ray. Sooo predictable.
